Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Dissidence ("the Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the Platform.

2. Account Registration

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. Registration requires confirming that you are 18 or older and agreeing to these Terms and our Content Policy, and viewing adult content additionally requires entering your date of birth; we will not create accounts for users under 18. By registering you confirm that what you provided is accurate; providing false information to circumvent this requirement is a violation of these Terms, and any account discovered to belong to a user under 18 will be terminated and its data deleted. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and all activity that occurs under it.

3. User Conduct

You agree not to:

  • Post content that is illegal, harassing, threatening, or violates others' rights
  • Impersonate others or misrepresent your identity
  • Spam, manipulate votes, or engage in coordinated inauthentic behavior
  • Attempt to circumvent moderation actions or bans
  • Use automated tools to access the Platform without authorization
  • Upload malware, viruses, or malicious content

4. No Tolerance for Objectionable Content or Abusive Users

There is no tolerance on the Platform for objectionable content or abusive users. Objectionable content is anything our Content Policy prohibits, including illegal content, sexual content involving minors, harassment, threats, hate speech, and intimate images shared without consent. Such content is removed, and accounts that post it or abuse other users are suspended or permanently banned.

Anyone can report a post, comment, message, or user with the Report button. Reports are reviewed promptly, and we act on content and accounts that break these rules. You can also contact us at safety@dissidence.net.

5. Content

You retain ownership of content you post. By posting, you grant Dissidence a non-exclusive, worldwide license to display, distribute, and store your content as part of the Platform's operation. You are solely responsible for content you post.

6. Community Guidelines

Individual communities may have additional rules. Community moderators can set and enforce rules within their communities. Platform-wide rules take precedence over community rules.

7. Intellectual Property

The Dissidence name, logo, and Platform design are owned by Dissidence. You may not use our trademarks without permission. We respect intellectual property rights and will respond to valid DMCA takedown requests.

8. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account for violations of these terms or our content policy. You may delete your account at any time through your account settings.

9. Disclaimer

The Platform is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not responsible for user-generated content. We do not guarantee uninterrupted access to the Platform.

10. Changes

We may update these terms at any time. Continued use of the Platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
